1. Determine the battery. Every wireless door and window sensor uses some type of battery. Most Honeywell door and window sensors use a CR2032 lithium coin cell, a CR123A lithium battery, or AAA/AA batteries. Confirm the type before purchasing a replacement.
2. Remove the back cover. Many Honeywell sensors require a flathead screwdriver pushed into a slot to release a tab, allowing the back cover to be gently pulled off. Never force or pry it — check the instruction manual for your specific sensor.
3. Replace the battery. Gently pop out the old battery and insert the new one, making sure the positive (+) and negative (−) ends face the correct direction.
4. Reapply the back cover. It should snap securely into place.
5. Reset the panel sensor. At the keypad, enter your user code, then press 1 (Off) twice to clear the sensor fault.
Before you start: Place your speaker(s) in the desired location and connect to power. For wireless setups, do not connect an ethernet cable to any Sonos device. Download the Sonos app for iOS or Android — it will guide you through setup.
Recommended setup: For the simplest, most reliable performance, eero and Sonos recommend connecting speakers over Wi-Fi to your eero network rather than plugging any speaker into an eero via ethernet.
