The Project

This Northport homeowner wanted to extend their living space outdoors — a patio and stainless steel fire pit already anchored the backyard, and the goal was to add a TV that could be watched comfortably from that seating area without a single visible cable or a mount that wouldn't hold up to Long Island's weather.

That meant the job started well before the TV ever came out of the box. Our team ran buried conduit across the yard to carry power and signal cable underground, set a dedicated post to hold a fully weatherproof mount, and only then moved on to hanging and calibrating the television itself.

How We Built It

Step 1 Trenching and white PVC conduit pipe laid across a Northport, NY lawn for an outdoor TV installation

Trenching & Conduit

We trenched the yard and laid PVC conduit to route power and A/V cabling underground from the house to the mounting post — keeping the finished yard clean, with no exposed wiring anywhere in the space.

Step 2 Weatherproof outdoor TV mounting plate and hardware staged for installation in Northport, NY

Weatherproof Mounting Hardware

A fully weatherproof mount and enclosure were set on a dedicated freestanding post — rated to protect the television from rain, humidity, and temperature swings year-round.

Step 3 Finished outdoor TV installation on a post beside a stainless fire pit and patio seating area in Northport, NY

Finished Install

The television was mounted, cabling connected through the buried conduit, and the system tested and calibrated — positioned for a clear view from the patio and fire pit seating.

Scope of Work

Why Outdoor TV Installs Are Different

A standard indoor TV mount and exposed cabling won't hold up outside. Every outdoor install we do starts with the same questions: where does the cable run, how is it protected from the elements, and is the mount actually rated for outdoor use — not just weather-resistant in name. Getting that right up front is what keeps a system like this running for years instead of one season.
